Scofflaw Nail Varnish — Policies

Hello there!

Scofflaw Nail Varnish is made by hand in small batches using high quality suspension base, pigments, oxides, mica, and glitters. Quality control is very important to me and while I strive to ensure each batch is uniform, some minor variations may occur.

While all Scofflaw Nail Varnish is tested before being available to the public, some settling and separation of glitter/pigments is normal in all nail polish, especially if the polish has been sitting for a length of time. So give your bottle a good shake (or use it as a prop in your next jazz-hands routine) before each use. Each bottle contains stainless steel mixing balls. Also, I wear all my polishes using Orly Bonder as a base and then once again using Sally Hansen Hard as Nails, to test against staining.

Like all the best and most dignified indie polishes, Scofflaw Nail Varnish is 5-Free (containing no dibutyl phthalate, toluene, or formaldehyde) because we're in the business of awesome nail polish, not carcinogens.

If you ever have any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to reach out to me. I try to reply to any messages within 24 hours, but please be advised I do not work on the weekend and allow for any messages sent during that time to be answered the following Monday.

Payment & Shipping

Scofflaw Nail Varnish happily (nay, giddily!) accepts Paypal or credit card payments.

Your nail polish will be shipped via USPS First Class Mail with a tracking number. Priority Mail will be used in the event of a larger order, due to weight restrictions.

All polishes are mailed out in bubble mailers in addition to being wrapped securely in bubble wrap along with my fervent hopes that your mail carrier doesn't use the package as a hacky-sack.

I aim to have your polish mailed within 3 days of you placing an order, with a 7-10 business day maximum after a new collection release or a sell-out. If there is any issue that might delay your package being sent within that time-frame, you will be contacted immediately.

First Class Mail averages 3-7 business days after shipping, but do allow for basic Postal Service Flakiness. Please let me know if there is an unreasonable delay. If you are having an issue with a package that shows delivered, but didn’t show up, please contact your local post office ASAP and open a case for a missing package, as well as letting me know.

Refunds and Exchanges

I am afraid I cannot offer refunds on Scofflaw Varnishes if you decide the color isn't for you. In the event a polish arrives to you in a goopy, soul-shattering mess please contact me with a photo of the destruction and I will happily replace the polish and then pour one out on the curb in memory of our fallen comrade. If there are any other issues, please let me know and I'll see what I can do!
